Head's Welcome

I am delighted that you have chosen to visit our website and find out about our wonderful school. A school is more than a building; a school is a community (children, their families, staff, governors and in the case of St. Chad’s our local church also).  I have recently returned to St Chad’s as Headteacher after being Head of School at a different school in our Trust. Prior to this I spent several years at St. Chad’s in a range of roles most latterly as Assistant Head. I can genuinely say that returning to St. Chad’s has felt like returning home.

It is a special place: it is a warm, welcoming and inclusive community where on a daily basis all in our school community live out our vision ‘In the light of God, we care, we share, we laugh, we learn.’ This vision also underpins our actions and decisions.

We are a community where we support all to flourish. Our children and staff are amazing and it is a privilege to work with them every day.  The young people in our school continually impress the adults in school and visitors with their achievements (academic and otherwise) and their personal, social and spiritual development.

We take partnership with parents seriously, and we know the importance of collaboration and working with you to achieve the best for your child/children.  I never tire of showing visitors around school, so if you would like to find our more or to feel for yourself the warm and welcoming community at St. Chad’s please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit or to speak to a member of our team.
